Rambling

 A productive day, which followed a not quite so productive one. But a day where half of it was spent outside, and the other half being about as productive if not more so, inside. Taking pictures that followed to raising of large cedar posts and planting of grape vines, then switching to scholar mode, and managing to read nearly twenty pages of history. The sky today was grey for the most part, but times would come where the sun would peak out for maybe a minute, and everything would light up brilliantly! Now, in the evening and late afternoon, we have rain. And lots of it. I enjoy rain, it's nice after a week of seemingly no change, it offers a refreshing feeling once it's finished.

 Well, dinner time.

 Dear Reader, I chose this particular title, because I just finished reading/looking at a story of another blogger, who drew each day of his and his wife's life for 365 days. But putting together specifically the days that he drew of them together.  And I must say, it was the sweetest story that I have read. The Drawings of Curtis Wiklund and his wife Jordin.  I have no other words to say than these, and these simple words say it all. I love this story. I love their story. I love that they made a story and told it to the world in one of the most magnificent ways possible. I love it that it's a story that is of the beauty real life holds. I love it all. And I love the story of life. And the story that God's given me. For although it was said, no one is told any story but their own. I take it to mean, it doesn't say that, you don't hear of another's story, but the only story that you will ever see through your own eyes...    ... is your own. -C

Resolutions

 Resolutions can be quite strange can't they? One moment you're wondering about something, then something in you just decides–No. You're not going to do that any more.  I often wonder if others feel this way. If you are just thinking about a part of your life, that hasn't changed in forever, yet you wonder why you just let it keep going. Till finally, one day just out of the blue, you take a stand and say, "No more."  Mine are always when I expect them least. Which is a good thing I suppose! Though, I often wonder why I hadn't taken that ability into my hands sooner, since I had them all the while.  The resolution, to not let something in your life keep you stuck. To let something keep you from doing what you need to, or wanting to. Knowing that if you throw in everything you've got, that you'll no longer be a slave to that thing that's keeping you stuck.  I know with others, it can be more difficult with certain things, but you can't

By the grace of God

 It is only by the grace of God that I am still standing here on this earth. It is only by the grace of God that I draw breath, and am whole. Everything I am, is by the Grace of God.  Two years ago, a part of my life started that would not end for a long time, and is in some ways still ongoing.  Two years ago, in 2014, unknowingly began what I would now call the year of hell.  I was a bystander to verbal abuse and hate. I lived in close quarters with people that I became to be afraid of, and did not speak up. I hid, and I tried to hide in ways that never really worked, but have now become habits that are hard to break.  I kept silent during the calms, for fear that a wrong word would stir up a storm from a simple disagreement.  I often took to walking to a friends house just down the road, to see if they were outside and could hang out for a while.
