A year of Blessings

 If I could not find a single thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, than I would be lying. True this year has had it's ups and downs in many degrees, but throughout it all, I am still here, and that alone is something to be thankful for.
 If I had the chance to do it over again, I don't think I would, because then I wouldn't be the me I am here today.
 All circumstances that have happened, happened. There is no denying that. But, I am thankful that I am still here, I am alive.
 I am alive.
 I live in a house.
 I have food to eat.
 Water to drink.
 Schoolwork to do, because that means I have knowledge available to me.
 Dishes to clean because we have been well fed.
 Floors to sweep and shelves to dust because we have a home.
 Tables to clear because we have abilities and hobbies we can pursue.
 Rooms to clean because we have personalities.
 Blankets and beds because of provision.
 Warm sweaters and slippers because of plenty.
 Music to listen too because of joy.
 Voices to sing with because of good health.
 Family that loves me, and friends that care about me.
 Gifts beyond measure, and love beyond compare.
 Grace from the Father, and peace from the Son.
 Guidance from the Spirit, and so much more.
 I am thankful for everything in my life because without it I would not be here today.
 I might have struggles, I might have pains. But all of that because I am alive, and I am human.
 Some may say a perfect life involves no pain, no sorrow. But would we know the fullness of life or the way of life that we know now?
 I am thankful for my life, because I am wonderfully blessed. Blessed beyond measure, and beyond imagination.
 God the Father has blessed me immeasurably, and for that I am forever thankful.

 Dear Reader, I chose this particular title, because I just finished reading/looking at a story of another blogger, who drew each day of his and his wife's life for 365 days. But putting together specifically the days that he drew of them together.  And I must say, it was the sweetest story that I have read. The Drawings of Curtis Wiklund and his wife Jordin.  I have no other words to say than these, and these simple words say it all. I love this story. I love their story. I love that they made a story and told it to the world in one of the most magnificent ways possible. I love it that it's a story that is of the beauty real life holds. I love it all. And I love the story of life. And the story that God's given me. For although it was said, no one is told any story but their own. I take it to mean, it doesn't say that, you don't hear of another's story, but the only story that you will ever see through your own eyes...    ... is your own. -C

Resolutions

 Resolutions can be quite strange can't they? One moment you're wondering about something, then something in you just decides–No. You're not going to do that any more.  I often wonder if others feel this way. If you are just thinking about a part of your life, that hasn't changed in forever, yet you wonder why you just let it keep going. Till finally, one day just out of the blue, you take a stand and say, "No more."  Mine are always when I expect them least. Which is a good thing I suppose! Though, I often wonder why I hadn't taken that ability into my hands sooner, since I had them all the while.  The resolution, to not let something in your life keep you stuck. To let something keep you from doing what you need to, or wanting to. Knowing that if you throw in everything you've got, that you'll no longer be a slave to that thing that's keeping you stuck.  I know with others, it can be more difficult with certain things, but you can't

So I broke my phone

 Not that that's anything really super new to the world of people who have owned phones, it can happen.  Mine just happened to be right before my parents picked me up from youth group.  Not only that, it cracked in a rather magnificent way, making it almost look like a canyon ravine was on the screen of my phone, with swirling rock...  Other than that it still kinda sucked because I cracked my phone. It wasn't any special phone, not an iPhone or anything like that, just a cheap-o that you can get most anywhere, but aside from that. No way I'm holding it close to my face now while having a phone conversation.  On the upside! By some miraculous sensation, the camera is now almost always functioning correctly, whereas before it 98% of the time refused to even turn on correctly. Go figure :P
